Players scored nearly 7 billion goals in two years in Rocket League

Corey Davis and the Psyonix team shared an interesting Rocket League infographic over the past two years since the release of the game on Steam.

Psyonix announces that there were between 120,000 and 124,000 players in the game on PlayStation 4 and Windows. Already on July 14, the game was downloaded over 2 million times. Three days later, this number doubles to 4 million downloads. By the end of July, the number of downloads exceeds 5 million, and 179,000 users are in the game. Psyonix claim that the rapid success of the Rocket League game far exceeded their expectations.

Rocket League is a dynamic football-style racing game developed and published by Psyonix for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game was released on July 7, 2015. This game is a sequel to the 2008 Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars game (abbreviated SARPBC). The gameplay is similar to the SARPBC game and includes single and multi-user (supports split-screen mode) modes, it is possible to play on a local network, including a cross-platform game between PS4 and Microsoft Windows.
